As she buying her ticket for the ferry, Liberal candidate for Franklin, Jillian Law probably didn’t notice that the Bruny Island Ferry Company have withdrawn the concessional fare for Seniors Card holders.

At the time of writing their website still shows a concessional fare but if you roll up to the ticket office you will see the sign below and you can wave your seniors card all you like, you’ll still cop the full fare.

The official line is . . .
The concession for Seniors Card holders has not been removed.
The concession available has only ever been for holders of Commonwealth Seniors Health Care Cards.
