How was it for you?
So how did you fair over the Christmas break with the Ferry Road traffic and Bruny Island Ferry queues?
Yours truly did the wise thing and went elsewhere for a few days until the dust settled. But a neighbour reported a 30 minute delay to get from the ferry into his yard which is less than 100 metres from the ferry terminal. Returning from a short break on Bruny with 13′ boat in tow he was forced to drive up the the highway and turn round and join the queue until he was able to get back to his driveway with enough room to swing in. This was on 4 January!
Boxing Day was surprisingly quiet but how did the other peak days affect you?

The ‘neighbour’ in question is Tony & Robyn Parsey. We were very unhappy.
The issue is compounded by the fact there seems to be more long term (some daily/some dayyyys) parked cars along Ferry Road concentrated in the area in front of No. 60 & 62 although seems to be everywhere. Most of these vehicle belong to fish farm workers and cherry pickers, not to mention the BOATIES that have to park somewhere. This concentration causes the Ferry traffic to consume most of the road preventing RESIDENTS to access there OWN HOMES safely.
We are seriously considering that the next time we are compromised with leaving or accessing our home, that we leave our locked vehicle on the road when we find it impossible to proceed.
We shouldn’t be held prisoner, nor should we be denied access to our home.
